There’s nothing like a caramel apple on a crisp fall day, so why not celebrate National Caramel Apple Day on October 21 with this homemade caramel sauce? Our date caramel sauce recipe will leave you feeling satisfied without all of the refined sugar and energy crash. If you're planning to make a pilgrimage to a local apple orchard, this is a great way to use up your harvest!

Recipe:
(Makes 1 cup) 

1 heaping cup dates (about 15), pitted
½ cup almond milk
1 scoop French Vanilla INVIGOR8 Superfood Shake
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp coconut oil
½ tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor. Pulse to incorporate everything, then blend on high until smooth. If it’s not blending easily, add splashes of almond milk.
