An apple crumble is the perfect warming dessert when there's a chill in the air. This easy recipe this won’t leaving you feeling heavy or loaded up on sugar. You can substitute berries, peaches or any other seasonal fruit for the apples. Enjoy!
Recipe:
(Serves 4)
½ cup oats
½ cup almond flour
¼ cup chopped walnuts
2 tbsp maple syrup
⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
1 scoop French Vanilla INVIGOR8 Superfood Shake
½ tsp cinnamon
2 apples, chopped (about 3 cups)
1 tbsp coconut sugar
Vanilla ice cream or yogurt, for serving
Preheat oven to 350º F.
In a medium bowl, add the oats, almond flour, walnuts, maple syrup, coconut oil, INVIGOR8 powder and cinnamon. Stir to thoroughly combine.
In a separate small bowl, mix together the apple and coconut sugar. Add the apples to a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Top with the crumble mixture.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Serve topped with yogurt or ice cream.
